Postscripts of a Marionette, A-Number in the System— is a tender, courageous exploration of the immigrant journey written from the heart through poetry and intimate reflections.

Migrating to the United States as a seven-year-old child along with her family due to her parents’ desires for a better life, Isabel Valencia found herself in a country she called home. In her first collection of poetry and anecdotes, “Postscripts of a Marionette, A-Number in the System”, she brings forth reflections of her journey as an immigrant. With this, she finds faith and above all finds the value of family and their unconditional love. She brings forward some passages of her life in hopes that others can see that one has the inner strength to embrace one’s path and accept the person one has become.
